Miguel Valerio brings over 20 years of experience in the social work field to this training session. His dedication to child welfare and justice is evident throughout his career, with diverse roles including:

  • Directing social work degrees while researching critical areas like social cohesion and criminology.
  • Supervising children’s homes (at the invitation of a Portuguese government agency).
  • Developing training programs within social work associations.

Since joining FEVACA in 2014, Miguel has played a crucial role in managing and overseeing supported accommodation projects. He currently holds the position of Operational Service Manager, overseeing the development of both children’s homes and supported accommodation. His commitment extends beyond his current role, as he actively contributes to the creation of the Supported Accommodation Association (SAA).
